Description
Order Kevin R. Wright moves the court for the appointment of counsel on appeal from a grant of summary judgment for defendant in this civil rights action filed under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The case has been referred to a panel of the court pursuant to Rule 9(a), Rules of the Sixth Circuit. Upon examination, this panel unanimously agrees that oral argument is not needed. Fed. R. App. P. 34(a). Wright sued the defendant physician's assistant employed at the Jackson Regional Clinical Complex in Jackson, Michigan, alleging that she was deliberately indifferent to his serious medical needs. Wright sued defendant in her official and individual capacities and sought two million dollars in unspecified damages. Defendant moved to dismiss the complaint or for summary judgment, and Wright responded in opposition. The magistrate Judge recommended that summary judgment for defendant be granted, and Wright filed objections. The district court adopted the magistrate Judge's recommendation and granted summary judgment for defendant.
