Paul Wright was found guilty of attempted murder by a jury and was sentenced to fifty years imprisonment. The issue on appeal is whether Wright is entitled to seek specific performance of a plea bargain agreement with the State that provided for a maximum sentence of eighteen years imprisonment. We hold that he is, and therefore reverse the trial courts judgment and remand the cause to the trial court for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.
